The birds of our garden have proven to be an endless fascination. They are so busy at this time of year finding their nesting sites, seeing off the opposition and then rearing their families. There is a huge ash tree in the corner of the garden which has been colonised by blue tits and nuthatches. They both live in holes in the tree and there appear to be endless squabbles over territory. They are, however, united when the naughty squirrels try and raid their nests. Other residents and visitors spotted this Spring include blackbirds, goldfinches, chaffinches, robins, dunnocks, long-tailed tits and a greater spotted woodpecker.
